About
Coline is a French scientist and comic book illustrator based in Strasbourg. After studying Neurobiology in University, she had the opportunity to blend her long-time passion for Art with her scientific skills, creating comics about her research topics and spreading the science of sleep to a large audience.
She wrote and illustrated the comic books Enlighten your clock: How your body tells time, translated into 22 languages, and The Science of dreams and lucid dreaming.
With the desire to learn more about techniques for effective science communication, she returned to school to study science communication through visual design at HEAR Strasbourg. During that time she was an artist in residence at Oxford Sparks, the engagement platform for science of the University of Oxford, creating comic strips about their research.
Coline also developed a strong interest in citizen science and had several experiences in mediation in Pop-science events. She enjoys working on sci-comm projects in collaboration with scientists, learning about new topics, and organizing information in the best possible way for effective communication, always infused with a generous dose of humour.
